Ball Grips for Pull Up Bars

The FitBar Ball Grips with hooks, are great training tools for ninja course warriors, obstacle course racers, rock climbers, and fitness enthusiasts. They are also good for anyone interested in increasing forearm strength, hand strength, and grip strength, or just looking to mix up their pull up grip hand position. They are 3” in diameter and have a zinc-plated hook. They have can be used on our Doorway Pull up Bar, and also can be taken to the gym for use on pull up racks, or to the park and used on monkey bars. The hook is small enough to allow your hand to fully cover the grip to allow multiple pull up grip configurations, such as pronated grip (overhand grip) supinated grip (underhand grip), and neutral grip.

The FitBar Pull Up Ball Grips are manufactured from a high-performance thermoplastic material that have a molded-in surface texture which provides good grip characteristics with outstanding durability. The grip surface includes a mesh pattern on the ball radius, a radial pattern at the ends of the ball, and an annular pattern at the center. The flat on the top increases the ability to get your fingers over the top of the ball for maximum hand grip engagement. The hook is attached to the molded ball via embedded fasteners for maximum security – the ball will not spin on the hook. The Pull Up Ball Grip hooks fit on any 1 1/2” or smaller diameter bar. For single arm dead hangs, hanging carabiner traverses, and other extreme activities, it is recommended to use chalk for maximum one-hand grip.

In addition to hanging from pull up bars, Pull Up Ball Grips can be hung from straps and carabiners. We do caution that if you are doing extreme dynamic ninja-style lache movements, we recommend that you use our eyebolted Ninja Cannonballs which can be securely attached to straps. We also have Ninja Ball Grips, which have 8” long hooks which are a favorite among ninja course warriors. the Nunchuck Cannonball Grip is also a favorite among ninjas - it provides the challenge of a nunchuck grip, but the ball helps keep your hand from sliding off. For OCR workouts, the Ball Grips are great for building arm strength that is key to mastering obstacles. Dead hangs with the Ball Grips are a great option, as well as mixing up the grip position on your pull up sets. Other workout options include using the Ball Grips with weight for farmer carries, and doing rows with the Ball Grips in hand. Go to our Ninja Course Training page for more creative training options. Each Ball Grip has a maximum user rating of 250 lbs.
